Adjacent to the district's confines, but within the boundary lines of the Abrams-Brookside Neighborhood Association, stands Woodrow Wilson High School; a historic landmark, renown for its highly acclaimed drama productions and home of two Heisman trophy winners. Our namesake is in honor of the Parks Family who was one of the original settlers in the neighborhood and whose grand home is now a historic landmark.
